Lady Vols Basketball Game

An owner of one of the local marinas came in to the post office one morning and had two Lady Vols basketball tickets to give away. My dad snatched them up and gave them to me and David! Yeah for a free date! The game was against Alabama on Sunday afternoon, January 20th, and we had a great time. We noticed on the tickets they were court-level and said Row 1. Really, Row 1? We're usually up in the nosebleed section! When we arrived at the arena, we made our way to our section and showed the usher our tickets. He said, "You are way down there, just keep walking down the steps. Wow, those are great seats! You all are right in the middle of the action; you're going to love it!"

"Can you believe these seats?"

Okay, so we're not on Row 1. Turns out they have
Row A-F, so we were technically Row 7, but still!

We were right beside the tunnel to the visitor's locker room!
The Alabama players about to head out for pregame warm-ups.

Lady Vols during warm-ups. The coaches had just come
out, and Holly's showing off her "We Back Pat" shirt.

Which was another really neat thing about being at this game. It was "We Back Pat" day, so all the coaches and fans had on their shirts. You'll even notice in the picture above the Alabama players had theirs on. They honored Pat mid-court with some donations made to her foundation. Incredible woman, but it was so sad since this was the first game we'd been to without her as head coach.

We were right next to Tennessee's bench!

And the cheerleaders were right in front of us too!

I'm telling you, we couldn't get over these seats! All of the people in front of us were VIPs with All-Access passes to the arena. Most of them were student athletes, and people kept coming up and asking for autographs and pictures with them. They were mostly men's basketball and football players, and one girl on the rowing team who was Taber Spani's best friend. I hate it, but we had no idea who any of them were!

A few action shots...

Holly pacing...

...and yelling.

Final score: TN 96, Alabama 66

Post-game Tennessee Waltz

The tickets came with a free parking pass in the garage so we decided to stick
around for the Holly Warlick Show and let the traffic clear out a little.

Such a great game! We love the Lady Vols!
