20 Months Old

Anthony turned 20 months old at the end of Febuary 2013. (It's so weird with only 28 days and him having been born on the 30th of June.) It's been another fun month with lots going on:

• Even though Anthony wasn't wild about his first bubble bath, he wanted to try it again this month and has been enjoying bubbles in his bath. I think it's mainly because he likes to get them out from the cabinet and pour them into the tub before his bath. He also likes to reach in the bath and pretend he's testing the water to see how hot it is.

• Anthony had a doctor's appointment on the 13th of this month, and he weighed 25 pounds and measured 34 inches tall.

• Anthony's been talking a little more this month. He is consistently saying, "Mama, Daddy, duck, bubble, juice, and yes." He's been making lots of animal sounds, but they're starting to sound more like the individual animals and not just a dog. He's getting really good at doing monkey, dog, cow, duck, owl, lion, and bear. He also likes to make a fish face and can pop his lips like a fish breathing. He does this every single time he sees an aquarium or fish.

• I talked about his nighttime ritual last month of reading a book before bed, usually "The Star Spangled Banner." He is still doing that, but now he insists on putting the book with him in his bed and sleeping with it.

• Anthony is still eating really well, and his favorite snack foods right now are grapes and oranges. His all-time favorite is still little tomatoes though!

• I finally got Anthony to where he will say, "Cheese" for the camera this month. It's so cute - wait until you see the pictures below!

• Anthony has taken an interest in our keys this month. He keeps taking either of our sets and tries to stick them in things around the house. Normally, he tries to stick them in the bedroom or bathroom doors, but I've also come across them in the air purifier and in some of his toys.

• All of a sudden this month, Anthony's hair has started getting longer and darker. It's growing like crazy now - it's going to be time for his first haircut soon!
