Christmas 2012

Christmas 2012 was a five-day, mad-dash, marathon full of family time on both sides, which left us all sick midway through it and absolutely worn out after it was over. Even still, we had a wonderful Christmas and a great time with everyone. Here are highlights:

Our first stop once we got to Nashville was the airport to pick Uncle Chris up from his flight in from North Carolina. He hadn't seen Anthony since the 4th of July!
Here we are waiting on him to arrive.

An early morning breakfast at Chick-fil-A with Uncle Chris.

A late morning brunch at Cracker Barrel with Grandma Michele.

Playing around at Grandma's house.

Christmas dinner with Grandma Michele.

Time to open presents!

Next day: lunch at Grandpa Ken and Lynn's place!

More presents!

Waiting patiently for Daddy to open his new truck.

He loves it!

Wrestling with his new cow from Uncle Daniel and Aunt Codi.

Daniel showing off his skills with his new game.

Anthony really wanted the ball.

Playing a mini-xylophone.

Checking out the Christmas tree...

He's a little excited!

"No, now don't touch..."

He touched it!

Grabbing for the camera.

Present time for the adults!

David working diligently on the puzzle from his dad. He can
see the money inside, but can't figure out how to get to it!

The next morning we made our way from Nashville back to my
dad's sister's house for lunch with his side of the family.

Anthony's getting good at opening presents!

A new farm!

Loving cousin Brianna!

On to Christmas Eve at Mam-Maw's house.

Eating an apple and playing the piano at the same time.

Standing by his presents.

David surrounded by his.

Anthony got a new broom and dustpan!

This was one of his favorite presents!

A new basketball goal too!

Dunk it!

Notice Anthony passed out from all the excitement.

There he is.

Christmas Eve night: since Anthony wasn't feeling well, we let him fall asleep
in the living room in my lap. He finally went to sleep -
you would think he was excited for Santa to come!

He did come!

Anthony woke up early Christmas morning,
but passed back out on the couch soon after.

Now he's awake.

"Anthony, did you know Santa came?"

Presents for Daddy...

Notice the ornament in Anthony's hand. He wanted so badly to give us
presents that he picked his favorite ornaments off the tree
and tried to give them to us. Bless his heart, so sweet!

Checking out the Mickey Mouse rocket.

Mega Bloks!

New train!

Playing baseball!

Christmas with Mom and Dad, Collin and Meagan.

Grandpa David read the Christmas story from the Bible. Anthony must have thought he couldn't read since he'd never seen him doing so. Once he realized he could, he brought all of his books to him so Grandpa would read them to him.
