Bop-Bop's 60th Birthday (The Fake One)

David's dad turned 60 on Saturday, August 24th. We had a huge surprise weekend planned for the whole family in Pigeon Forge, but he wanted to come see us the weekend before (not knowing he would be spending a few days with us the following weekend.) So, in order to make sure we kept the real birthday celebration a secret, we decided to go all-out and celebrate when he and Lynn came to visit. Otherwise, he'd have thought we forgot or something was up.

So, we made him a cake...

...and gave him birthday cards.

We sang, and Anthony helped him blow out the candles.

We took him out to eat for a birthday dinner and visited the ducks on the water.

We enjoyed our time together, and everybody wins when you get to celebrate a birthday twice! I can't wait to share with you his surprise birthday weekend with the whole family in Pigeon Forge! Check out the next post to see all the fun we had!
