Fall Break Week

Fall is definitely my favorite season, and it has continued to be gorgeous these last couple of weeks. Mom  was on fall break this last week, and Dad took off some time as well so we made another quick trip down to Atlanta at the beginning of the week. We picked up some things at the house and did some work while we were there, but the main reason we went was so I could visit my friends from work and let them meet Anthony for the first time. Unfortunately, Anthony was a little overwhelmed with so many people and being the center of  attention, but he did manage to give them a couple of smiles and coos. Since he was mostly fussy and upset though while we were there we weren't able to stay long and there were several people I didn't get to see, but hopefully we can visit again on our next trip within a few weeks. It was a little emotional for me in more ways than one, but even still, it was really good to see everyone. On our way back to Tennessee we took the scenic route through the North Georgia mountains, and it was an absolutely beautiful and perfect fall day. We stopped in Helen, visited Brasstown Bald (the highest point in Georgia), and made a stop at Mercier's Orchard in Blue Ridge and just enjoyed the fall colors all along the way.

Anthony enjoyed his stroller ride while we walked around Helen.

We had a picnic next to the river in Helen and took everyone's picture with Anthony.

Anthony is not a fan of wind...

Love drives like these in the fall.

David's dad and Lynn came over and spent the day with us today, and we made a trip up the mountain to the apple barn for some apples, cake, fritters, cider, and some fun pictures!
