Rusty and Krista got us tickets for Christmas to see the new Georgia Aquarium, so we went on Saturday. It just opened right before Thanksgiving last year, and it has been a huge success so far. We wondered if it was all just a bunch of hype, but we were so impressed with it, and it's definitely the best we've ever been to! We spent pretty much the whole day there, but they have a huge variety of exhibits, so it's great. They have a section with stuff found only in Georgia, then they have a freshwater section, and a cold water section. They also have two saltwater ones, one with a huge tank and one with a coral reef.
Our favorite part (besides David getting to pet a shrimp) was being there when they fed the sea lions. We noticed they kept circling their pool and looking up on the rocks, so we figured they were getting hungry, and sure enough, after a little bit, they came out and fed them so we got to see them up close!
If you get a chance to go, it's definitely worth it! The website is www.georgiaaquarium.org. Below are some pictures we took!
